DAY 1: OCTOBER 11 AMMAN, JORDAN (D)

  • Arrive Queen Alia airport, Jordan
  • Visit to the Monastery of St. George in Madaba, also known as the Church of the Map having the oldest geographic map of the Holy Land preserved on the floor of this Greek orthodox church
  • Mt. Nebo , one of Jordan’s sacred sites and is believed to be the highest mountain from where Moses viewed the land of Canaan where He has never set His foot on until He died
  • Overnight in Amman

DAY 2: OCTOBER 12 AMMAN – PETRA- AMMAN (BLD)

  • Ancient Petra, a world heritage site and one of the new Seven World Wonders
  • Overnight in Amman

DAY 3: OCTOBER 13 BORDER CROSSING JORDAN – ISRAEL (BLD)
Cross from Jordan to Israel border early in the morning

  • Church of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes where 5000 men with their families gathered to hear the words of Jesus and while a few loaves of bread and fish multiplied to a great number more than enough to feed the crowd. Christians venerated a large rock upon which Jesus was said to have laid the bread and fish.
  • The Church of St. Peter’s Primacy (Mensa Christi) where Jesus appeared to His disciples and ate with them after the resurrection. The rock at which they ate is  enshrined at the altar and venerated as “Mensa Christi”
  • Capernaum, the town of Jesus where the ancient synagogue in which He preached can be found and the house of St. Peter as well. It is where He started His ministry of performing miracles, curing the sick and where He cast evil spirits
  • Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus climbed and preached the powerful Sermon on the Mount.
  • Reflect while sailing on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus chose His first Disciples,walked on water and calmed the wind and the waves
  • Overnight in Nazareth

DAY 4: OCTOBER 14 NAZARETH – CANA – NAZARETH (BLD)

  • Church of Transfiguration on Mount Tabor , the site of Jesus transfiguration with Moses representing the Law and Elijah representing the prophets.
  • Precipice , the traditional cliff where an angry mob tried to throw Jesus off coming from the synagogue in Nazareth
  • Visit to the Guanellian Holy Family School in Nazareth
  • Church of Annunciation built over the place where Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary to announce that She would become the Mother of the Son of God
  • Church of St. Joseph built over the site of His workshop where the Holy family once lived.
  • The Wedding church of Cana where Jesus performed His first miracle of changing water into wine during a wedding feast
  • Overnight in Nazareth

DAY 5   OCTOBER 15 NAZARETH – HAIFA-JAFFA -BETHLEHEM  (BLD)

  • Mount Carmel  where the prophet Elijah was believed to have defeated the prophets of Baal
  • Stella Maris Monastery built on the cave where Prophet Elijah used to live
  • Haifa, the third largest city of Israel, part of Mount Carmel with panoramic views overlooking the coastline
  • The Bahai World Center Shrine and Gardens with the Temple Bahais having the tombs of their prophets
  • Caesaria Maritima, a typical Roman city and the biggest Roman port built by Herod The Great
  • The House of Simon the Tanner in Old Jaffa where St. Peter saw a vision that became a turning point in which Christianity evolved
  • Overnight in Bethlehem

DAY 6: OCTOBER 16  BETHLEHEM – JERUSALEM – BETHLEHEM  (BLD)

  • Room of the Last Supper or the Upper Room where Jesus celebrated His final Passover with His Disciples and where Tongues of Fire appeared and the Holy Spirit came upon them on the day of the Pentecost marking the beginning of the Church
  • Dormition Abbey, traditional site of Mary’s home and death where a carved stone figure of Mary in repose can be seen.
  • Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu located on Mount Zion where Peter’s denial of Jesus three times is commemorated, also believed to be the House of the High priest Caiaphas where Jesus may have been imprisoned and tortured.
  • Ascension chapel built on the peak of Mount Olives which is considered to be the site of the Ascension of Jesus  into heaven
  • Church of the Pater Noster commemorating Jesus teachings to His disciples mainly the Lord’s Prayer.
  • Dominus Flevit “The Lord Wept”, a church stands with its dome shaped like a tear and its altar facing  Jerusalem as Jesus would have seen and wept over it
  • Palm Sunday Road where Jesus passed by riding on a donkey on the way to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover
  • Garden of Gethsemane at the foot of Mount Olives where Jesus spent His last night praying before He was arrested. Next to the garden of Gethsemane is the Church of  All Nations  where the traditional rock of the agony lies in front of the main altar
  • The Church of the Tomb of the Virgin Mary contains the traditional tomb of the Virgin Mary and commemorates her Assumption into Heaven
  • The Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus where a silver star overlies the spot of Jesus birth

DAY 7: OCTOBER 17  BETHLEHEM- JERUSALEM – EIN KAREM – BETHLEHEM (BLD)

  • Via Dolorosa “Way of Sorrow” marks the path where Jesus walked starting from where He was condemned to die and ending where He was buried
  • Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the holiest place in Christendom that has the Tomb of Jesus
  • Pass thru the Wailing Wall , one of the most sacred shrines for the Jews
  • The Church of St. Anne, home of Mary’s parents (Joachim & Anna ) and the birthplace of Mary
  • The ancient Pool of Bethesda where Jesus healed a man who had been ill for 38 years
  • Church of Visitation in the Village of Ein Karem honoring Mary’s visit in the house of Elizabeth when both were pregnant. Mary’s praise to God is referred to as the Magnificat
  • The church of John the Baptist in Ein karem where a Grotto of the Benedictus under whose altar is a star marking the place where John the Baptist was born can be found. “Here was born the forerunner of the Lord” LUKE 1:57-80. The one who prepared the way for the coming of Jesus Christ
  • Overnight in Bethlehem

DAY 8: OCTOBER 18  BETHLEHEM-  JERUSALEM – BETHLEHEM  (BLD)

  • Shepherd’s Field where an angel appeared to announce that the Saviour was born in Bethlehem. The lowly shepherds were chosen by the Lord to be the first to hear of the good news   “ GLORIA IN EXCELSIS DEO”
  • Qasr El-Yahud, the baptismal site of Jesus
  • Qumran where ancient religious writings were found in nearby caves, these documents were hidden in jars and came to be known as the dead sea scrolls
  • Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth
  • Jericho, the lowest city on earth with a view of the Mount of Temptation where according to tradition the devil put Jesus to a test after His baptism
  • Overnight in Bethlehem

DAY 9: OCTOBER 19 TABA BORDER CROSSING TO EGYPT – SINAI  (BLD)
Cross taba border from Israel to Egypt

  • Sinai where Moses received the Ten Commandments (early morning climb to Mt. Sinai is optional)
  • Overnight at St. Catherine

DAY 10: OCTOBER 20 CAIRO (BLD)

  • Saint Catherine Monastery at the foot of Mount Sinai where God appeared to Moses in the burning bush
  • Land travel from St. Catherine to Cairo stopping by Moses’ Mara well
  • Nile dinner cruise
  • Overnight in Cairo

DAY 11: OCTOBER 21 CAIRO (BLD)

  • The Great Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza
  • The Church of Abu Serga built on the site of the cave where the Holy Family dwelled for three months during the plight into Egypt
  • Overnight in Cairo

DAY 12: OCTOBER 22 CAIRO – MANILA (BL)

  • Egyptian Museum
  • The Church of the Virgin Mary in Zeitoun
  • Departure transfer to airport in Cairo for flight back to Manila
