Pampanga (Region 3 - Central Luzon)

Pampanga (Region 3 - Central Luzon)

The Clark of yesteryear was an American base filled with all things American—from Mom-and-Pop diners to retail outlets that only sell American goods.

After the Americans left in the 1990’s, Clark, which was originally a town of Angeles, is now called the Clark Special Economic Zone (CSEZ).  It is now a 4,500-hectare industrial and leisure hub where Filipinos love to shop and vacation. Enjoy the nightlife and casino at Mimosa Leisure Park; swim in Fontana’s themed-pools; or ride a horse in the old American stables of El Kabayo. Clark is your essential vacation rolled into one area.

TOP THINGS TO DO
  • Ride a hot air balloon

This festival is a must for the entire family. Watch Hot Air Balloons of all sizes and colorful themes take off. Ice cream balloons, camera shaped balloons, heart shaped balloons all make their way to Clark from all over the world.  Make sure to come early as the balloons launch as the sun rises. Although it’s called Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, it’s a celebration of anything that flies. So watch out for ultra and micro light flying, paragliding, and the kites!

  • Picnic in Paradise

Bring your kids along and enjoy Zoocobia Fun Zoo, a mini-zoo complete with a barn and exotic animals. Feed large ostriches, catch a glimpse of a bearcat, and watch a pot-bellied pig jump!

  • Wine and Dine

Clark itself has a plethora of restaurants and leisure parks. You can also go around the vicinity. For the yummiest Panizza (rolled pizza with arugula), try C’s in Angeles, Pampanga.

  • Giddy up

At El Kabayo stables you can choose your horse and off you go!

  • Tee off

There are many golf courses to choose from. The newest is the 27-hole FAK Golf Club in Clearwater Resort. The oldie but goody, Mimosa, has a 36-hole sprawl amidst the leisure park.

  • A Miniature Philippines

Originally in Parañaque, the six-hectare park highlights the different Filipino cultures around the country. With 110 ethno-linguistic groups and different architecture, the Nayong Pilipino is a must see attraction.

  • Have a splash

Cool off from your busy day at Fontana Waterpark.
